From McDonalds go up the Hill (Wesley Street) which is straight across from Lowfields Lane. At the top is a T junction with Beeston Town Street. Turn left and Town Street becomes Beeston Road as you pass the Church graveyard on your left. About a quarter of a mile later there is a slight bend in the road and the cemetery is on your left and Cross Flatts Park on the right. Another quarter of a mile (slightly less) brings you to traffic lights. Turn left onto Cemetery Road and Temple View is off to the left somewhere.Alternatively facing the Stadium from McDonalds the road that goes off to the right is New Elland Road. Last time I looked only buses could turn right into from Old Elland Road before it hits the roundabout for Junction 2 of the M621 so you should go all the way round the roundabout an turn left. This comes out at the Bottom of Cemetry Road opposite an off slip from the M621 (junction 2a). Turn right onto Cemetery Road and right just over the brow of the hillhttp://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=temple+view,+beeston&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&ie=UTF8&hl=en&hq=&hnear=Back+Temple+View,+Leeds+LS11+8,+United+Kingdom&ll=53.777732,-1.556797&spn=0.012705,0.05403&t=h&z=15

I've just managed to track this place down and was gutted to find the locked gate. I felt a bit suspicious looking peeking through the gate but unfortunately couldnt see the timber framed house (there was a full wheely bin in the way). I'm astonished that this property is in such a derelict state. From the other properties in the yard it looks like it hasnt been touched for decades. Whats the betting a few council backhanders and it will be declared 'dangerous' and knocked down to make way for some faceless city centre flats. This should be a museum to historic Leeds.

Somethings afoot in Lamberts Yardhttp://plandocs.leeds.gov.uk/WAM/showCaseFile.do?appName=planning&appNumber=11/01553/FUhttp://www.leedscivictrust.org.uk/files/leedsc ... dfSeperate planning application for the timber frame mhouse, intersting to note its owned by EMCO,just like Kirkgate and the White Cloth Hall.Wonder if they specialise in really old buildings and then allowing them to rot.
