Absolutely Chris.I'm tinkering with the idea of doing some project around Holbeck over the coming months anyway. Some atmospheric shots of dark places.Photographing the every old and neglected parts that are only just still hanging in there before there gone for good. The Temple mills thing would be great to include too.
My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!

Please do Phill! There are some amazing buildings in Holbeck - it's good that the area is getting a bit of a shakeup (credit crunch permitting), but I do worry about what will happen to some of the less 'gentrifiable' nooks and crannies. I've taken some pics myself over the years, but they're a very long way from your standard, and my exploration skills are a bit girly - there are some dark streets I wouldn't dare venture down, even in daylight! ;-)

All for it cnosni but from personal and frustrating experience, it's a tough nut. Even getting replies from people, let alone ones of any consequence is slower than the proverbial lethargy of Solicitors conveying a house! (For those who remember how long that could take).I'm never quite sure whether it's a case of they don't have the answer, don't want to tell you because they know nothing is going to be done by them or whether they hope to grind you down into giving in and going away!Phill mentioned (and has visited) The Grange in Seacroft, a Council owned property on the verge of extinction through inaction, not least attributable to weak contracts with the intended developer, allowing them seemingly to walk away from an undertaking, having of course completed the more lucrative aspects of their venture.
