Oh, and wasn't there one at the end of Torre Road (town end)? It's now a tile shop, but you can still see the original decor etc when you're in there (I think it became a bingo hall after cinema).

Kippax Cinema, Don't know what it was called but it too became a bingo hall, now the home of Craftsmen Cues.

i used to go to the saturday matinee at the clock cinema-even in the 70s it was still all buster crabbe type serials,even in the 70s,but we loved it all.my dad says i must mention other local cinemas too.the western on florence street was the bug hutch,also there was the star,the shaftesbury,the hilcrest,the harehills,the regent and the two at cross gates,whose names we can't think of off hand?

got the two cinemas at crossgates.the regal and the ritz.good old leodis(again). hey, has anyone mentioned when the odeon3 was in the merrion centre? and the gaiety was called the gaiety kinema! has anyone mentioned the princess cinema,just off york road,towards richmond hill?

just been on yep web site looking for summat else,typed in microfilm,and you get a lovely piece about cottage road cinema.
