Looking for any old photos of the Leek Street flats . Lived there in the late 1970s with my family when I was 16. Would be good to show my lucky kids where I lived.!

I'd be surprised if there weren't more on Leodis but I managed to turn up 4 of varying use in this search<http://www.leodis.net/searchResults.asp ... D=&PUBID=0>

Thanks for the link , found it after posting the message ! Even more depressing than I thought , though I only lived there for six month while working at Yorkshire Imperial Plastics and during the Yorkshire Ripper days..... Good times!

Long winded story follows; Just before my dad died, I bought him a book for his birthday, Kellys Directory of Leeds 1914 edition. It's a cross between a phone book, Thompson Local and a trade directory. In the residential section, it lists every house on every street, its occupant and their occupation. When my old man had started work at Thacker & Maud as an office boy and, later, a rent collector this had been the same edition they used in the office. Apparently, MR Maud wouldnt buy a new edition so this would have been about twenty years out of date. People obviously didn't move about as much then. My old man sat reading this bloody thing for about three weeks, interspursed with shouts of "Oooh! I remember this bugger, they never had the rent", "This lot were a mucky lot" etc, etc.
