LO agen Ian!Looks like somebody's had a go at a 'short back and sides'on the privet loco!(and tender!). The 'puff of smoke' seems to have become a young tree tho'.Judging by the wet road it must have been taken recently?Or maybe last year when it was still being 'looked after'?I remember grabbing a snap of it, must be 4 or 5 years backbut it's stuck in a pile of 'Klick' folders somewhere! (Know the feeling?).Too idle to catalogue my 35mm filming, of course! On the other side of that Otley Street there was an end housethat had a marvellous show of flowers every year on 2 sides. When wewere in Otley last time, it had all gone to pot and was most dis-appointing. Nothing stays the same, especially the good stuff. Thanks for the foto Ian!CheersArry

Here's a pic from 'Arry, of the old house on Bramley Town Street.Comments under pic are his. This is a photo of the the old house on Bramley Town St which I tooka couple of weeks ago. I seem to remember the people living there in the 70's sold antiques and bric-a-brac(or summat!). Surroundings have changed a bit since the first old foto was taken. The Snowdens' can just be seen thru the jungle! House has changed hardly at all apart from a boarded upwindow!
You can take the lad out of Leeds - but you can't take the Leeds out of the lad.

Very clever piece of privettopiary with a bush growing out of the funnel representingsmoke. Great stuff! It's at the bottom of the road leading to Garnetts factory at the side of the Wharfe. We were there a couple of weeks back and it had got a bit tatty.Don't know if the house owner has got too old to trim it or not,but any of you YOUNGSTERS could take a pair of Wilkinson's shears with you and give it a go when next in Good old Otley!(Spear and Jackson's would do just as well!)Cheek! Cheers Arry Awk Sorry Arry, not much of an expert on 'Engine and tenders'. Used to be a good bacon sandwich around the corner at that caff though. It was always full of Cyclists/Bikers. I've seen that hedge Arry,it's a nice piece of work when freshly trimmed.Talking of the Riverside Cafe reminds me of meeting with a Leeds 'celebrity'some years ago.I was in the newsagents which adjoins the cafe buying a lottery ticket. While queing at the counterI noticed Jimmy Saville was standing alongside.Upon paying for my ticket, the newsagent informed me it was a roll-over and a big payout awaited.I said'If I win it,I'll have nearly as much money as Jimmy Saville!' to which he replied 'Are well,I was just about to buy that very ticket what you have got there-as it 'appens!!' I should have asked him to 'fix' it for me.
