Re: Kirkgate House?
The seemingly long-taking work to convert Kirkgate House into apartments seems to have ended as I noticed when walking in the area on August 15 2017 (if it had already ended when I was in the area on August 1 2017 I did not notice). The apartments are called 'The Bells', presumably likely in reference to the bells of the next door Leeds Minster. These are 3 photos that I took on August 15 2017 of what seems to be a nicely done external appearance of the very old building (it's a shame that earlier photos of Kirkgate House are not showing in this thread). I like the weathered looking old bell.

Why on earth did they not use brick on the new build to me it looks an eyesore what a shame it does not merge with the old building.

Re: Kirkgate House?
I thought it might be of interest so I have added this photo of Kirkgate House that I took on August 19 2011. The fenced off area to the right is now the garden area of the Lamb & Flag and at least some of that area on the left is part of newly built bit of The Bells.

Since I was there on August 15 2017 there has been a change where the old bell is as it now has a nice motif and the wording "The Bells. Serviced Apartments". This is a photo I took on September 26 2017 which can be compared to the photos that I posted at the start of this thread.
