Don't worry alice, I received a lashing from the acid tongue of mourning belle for my sexist creation of the Leeds Gentllemens Exploration Society. Rest assured, for the purposes of the society ladies are honourary gentlemen and vice-versa.All we seek to do is make sense of the past, no sense of the present, and nonsense of the future. We have produced an extensive guide to exploration which I hope the moderators will allow me to reproduce here:1) Open your front door.2) Go out of it.3) Shut the door behind you.(Step 3 is optional but advisable.)

Love the idea of getting a group together to go exploring!Myself and a few friends have tried out the odd derivé recently as part of a uni art project - ending up in some very unsavoury places in Holbeck at dawn on one occasion! Was good fun though (despite the snow at the time), and definitely makes you see the city in a different way.

I really like the idea of a meet too - the lads already have their jolly boys club, But I'm not sure I'd like this to be restricted to ladies only now... The lads come in handy for some things... x The Adelphi hosts a lot of group stuff. They were doing Monkey Tennis on Wednesday night. Anyone know what this is? x

How very sporting of you Alice. I'm not so sure about the jolly boys club. The honorable gents explorers are a bit passed there mischievous youth these days-However we still give these young pups a run for there money. What we lack in agility we make up for with cunning stealth & determination!!! I take it 'the lads come in handy' means going in the scary places 1st lol???

For those who take photographs then the Leeds group on flickr is fairly active and meet up regularly. The LGES are considering organising a walk for anyone interested in, well, walking. It will be called "Up and down the Otley Road via the Back Passage". Probably more of interest to those who don't live in this part of the city, but many fine sights to be seen. Even those who know some of the route may be surprised.More info to follow. This is NOT organised by secretleeds, but by individuals on this board, so please don't ask the admins for details.

I've just moved to Leeds with my lovely wife, we have bought a hose in Shadwell and have been for some nice walks... anyone know anything interesting around that area which we may have missed?Regards, Kirk If you investigate back through the older threads as well as what you see on the active page Kirk, it won't take you long to find some ideas. Actually thinking, it will - there is so much to read!Have fun
