Best in what way? Money no object, cheap? Which facilities?I like the Novatel on Whitehall Road as a not too expensive but well appointed hotel with nice clean rooms and moderately priced (for hotels) TV and mini bar -- the mini bar coming in useful for one's own food and drink also. I found Park Plaza a bit tired -- not exactly dirty but burn marks on the carpet in the room. The Hilton also seems a bit tired and overpriced for what it is -- nothing specifically bad about it just nothing special. I see the Queen's has been refurbished so ought to be good -- I heard a lot of reports it was getting tired in places a few years ago. I've not been to the Leeds DoubleTree but if it's anything like the one I have been to it'll be very clean with a comfy bed and free WiFi.The only other hotel in Leeds I'm familiar with is the Premier Inn near the junction of the M621 and the A6110 (Ring Road) which is functional and clean as you would expect. Edit: I forgot we have a Raddison Blu in Leeds which ought to be very good -- some colleagues who stayed there certainly had no complaints.

Me and Mrs. Stutterdog walked the towpath today and nearly all were occupied! It's nice to have a sit down now and again on the 3 mile stretch!

First visit there last night Cnosni, some access problems with things as they are just now, but the venue staff were amazing, relocated to better seats, help getting there..... can't praise them highly enough, above and beyond the call.

The YMP carries an article today telling of another rise in parking charges for Woodhouse Lane car park the 'official park for Leeds arena'.. Strangely, the picture they include has a sign stating that it closes at 2100 hours????
