To me the nearest building looks to be the old toilet & kiosk block but it just looks a little bit bigger than what i can recall & there seems a lack of stalls & the vantage point looks high but they used mobile hoist to film from so i don't know myself!

That is the toilet block, that art decco example, the one I mentioned a bit back! You can plainly see all the old open market, but even that looks as though it was beofre the market fire as there NO room between the indoor and outdoor parts.

Phil, if you go to youtube and pause it on the bit you want, you can do a control and proint screen and copy the whole screen capture and paste it into a drawing programme. Would love to see some episodes, so if you do remember where you saw it for sale I would be very interested to know.I see now where the police station must have been, out of shot to the bottom right. Simon you are right you can see the old cells I think it is just behind the new station. white glazed brick they are. Is the car park in the pic the one that was where Milgarth is now? I cant figure out where the car park would be situated in todays layout

Modern Milgarth is bottom right, but out of shot. the car park that is behind milgarth is also out of shot but mid right hand side!! The car park you can see is now part of the new multi story, coach station and part market (new build). The dark bits behind the bogs are the old outside market stallsPhill, the toilet blocks do look very different, but thats probably due to the angle.

Yeah think I can see it now. There was that bit in the outside market where you walked out and crossed over the bit of Harper Street that is now built on, and it was a like a mini market with a few stalls in. Does anyone remember that, I think you can see it in the pic.Whilst I am writing this I remeber a pic on Leodis of the fire in 1975. You can see the toilets and the central buildings from my first screen capture but from reverse (ie top let hand corner)
