Got me baffled there jim - but I don't think so - although on second thoughts I just might know the place you're thinking of. I understand that the building was occupied by Leeds Model Railway Society for several years. Some 150 yards further up the road was the path leading to the long-vanished Armley Moor (GNR) station.

I never knew about the Model Railway involvement at all. Incidentally there is still a wide road leading to the site of Armley Moor Station off Wortley Road (twixt Town Street and Whingate).

This has been another excellent W&W and, as mostly the norm for me, I had no idea where it is and what it was. Shame that it seems that it may not be occupied. The worn white area above the door looks like Casper the Ghost to me. Mind you, the view in general bears a resemblance (well it does to me!) to one of those 'this looks like Hitler' fun images that occasionally appear on the Internet. I think my imagination may be running wild!

Good one Blakey, I was miles off, other side of the river to boot. Mind you Armley is not oneo of my strong locale.

Ah yes - I was misled by "other side of the river" and assumed South Leeds which is why I was baffled.    I can understand the impression of the corner of the Arndale Centre now, and although no cigar a cheroot is enclosed for a good try !!
