I like the thick moss growth round many of the pots/tubes/pipes. It is very artistic. The stacking also looks like that game where you take a piece out of a stacked pile and try not to collapse the lot (I can't think just now what the game is called).

I think the company in question are now the only suppliers of bowls and pipes for Garchey waste systems [like the one installed in Quarry Hill flats]

Here's a load of chimney pots in situ:You can probably make them out better at http://www.flickr.com/photos/mhoulden/3880231161/ by viewing all sizes. I think some will be the original Edwardian while some are obviously newer central heating flues.

I've got a fairly good idea where this is located Phill. If I'm right you may find some old cottages deep inside the woods that haven't been lived in for something like 50 to 70 years. The derelict cottage that we found in the woods was rather oddly still furnished in the mid 1980's. I've no idea if the cottage is still there, becouse something opened nearby around this time, and we were banned from playing in the` woods when we visited my uncle who lived nearby becouse of it.

For those of a lofty position or who alternatively possess a good zoom lens camera......there's quite a nice assortment of different chimney pots on top of The Corn Exchange......I seem to recall most of the individual rooms had their own small fireplace.
