It certainly is. Nice one...

Hi Scribes! The house with hedge in the shape of an ENGINE AND TENDER , (Not a train! GRRR!), is still there. Very clever piece of privettopiary with a bush growing out of the funnel representingsmoke. Great stuff! It's at the bottom of the road leading to Garnetts factory at the side of the Wharfe. We were there a couple of weeks back and it had got a bit tatty.Don't know if the house owner has got too old to trim it or not,but any of you YOUNGSTERS could take a pair of Wilkinson's shears with you and give it a go when next in Good old Otley!(Spear and Jackson's would do just as well!)Cheek! Cheers Arry Awk

Yeah IanIt's a 'useta be' kinda place. We went in out of the rain a couple ofyears back but it smelled like a 'Greasy Spoon' caff thenTea like 'witches' and a scone straight from under the old ScottishKing's Throne of Scoon! Rock on jock! 15 mins wait and nobody elsein the caff!Probably changed hands since those bacon sarny days!we usually go in the Black Bull or have a £1Pork with dripping!, or Beef sarny, same priceopposite the Market place (White Horse ? Bay Horse?)plus all the condiments you need and a dish of sliced onions in vinegar!Anyway you can sit out at the back on sunny days and they do get'Tets' on offer sometimes at £1 a pint!Drooling here!Cheers! Arry

The Bat House in Headingley lives on (sort of)...it's still got a bat symbol on the front, the one that's above the bins. The yellow has been painted white though.
