I like to think it has been closed for donkeys years and is a bit of a time capsule inside (it looks rather old and dilapidated) but perhaps I am just getting a bit carried away and it's only been closed a couple of years or so? The 'Wall's' advert on the wall facing the main road looks quite old I thought. And it looks like there are a couple of fancy stained glass windows covered up by some boarding. Any info folk? Cheers. It sold sweets and ice lollies !Don't know what else.Handy for a sunny afternoon in Kirkstall Abbey grounds.

Intrigued by this, I went specially tonight and parked with difficulty a few streets away.    I'm afraid the A4 notice is a bitter disappointment in the mystery as it is only a plea to the Royal Mail to deliver to the back door of the "shop" house. The notice reads :-NOTICE TO POSTMEN AND PARCLE SERVICE2 De Lacy MountPlease use door at rear in Back Norman Mountat the back of this house. Thank You.Incidentally I'm not guilty of spelling "parcel" that way - that's how it is on the notice. The old shop is indeed a sinister sight so let's hope someone knows more about it eh ??

Aw boo. Sorry you had a wasted journey. I thought it might be some clue to why it's been deserted for so long. It's all very odd!!

Maybe the postman is using the secret tunnel. If he so , wouldn't be able to read the message.Hope hes reading this so he can stop carding them and hopefully start delivering the back log of spooky and sinister parcels.Maybe that's why the murders stopped, due to the lack of delivery of murder weapons not been delivered ??????Or maybe he/she moved next door to you??????Lets hope Frankenstein doesn't get married anywhere near there.

It wasn't wasted jane honestly - it was well worth having a look, and presumably the occupants of the house behind it are renting and have no connection with the shop which really does present a sinister and fascinating image. "Watch this space" as they say, and hopefully someone will put our minds at rest 'ere long.

This gets spookier !! - I drove past at 5.30 pm today and the shop door is half open, revealing very little inside except untidy remnants.

I was about to post a very similar message! I went past at around the same time yesterday and saw the door open. I was so excited I was thinking of turning round and going back and asking for a tour. I agree though, not much to see. I noticed that there was a glass replacement van parked outside though so perhaps someone is planning on reopening it. If so, it would be great to see what it's like inside before they do, and perhaps get some information as to why it's been left in the way it has. All closed up again when I went past this morning though.
