Re: YEP Building
Work has taken place this week to clean up the jagged edges remaining on the clock tower following the demolition of the rest of the YEP buliding. Starting yesterday, black plastic-clad boarding is being fitted to the tower, and today brackets to support a large digital advertising screen to the north face have been installed. The screen itself was evident lying on the ground nearby at 14.30.
Talking to one of the workers yesterday I was informed that the substantial (3.5' x 1.5' approx) lump of concrete wall dislodged by falling wall concrete during demolition would not need repair, but would be covered by the new cladding as it stands. This is still to be seen at the eastern edge of the north wall, second panel up.
Another possible photo opportunity?
