Anyone see Downton Abbey last night? Farsley War memorial got a mention. Mrs Patmore the cook at the Abbey asked Mr Carson, the butler if he could use his position on the War Memorial committee to have a soldiers name put on the Cenotaph. (the soldier had been shot at dawn for deserting his post!) Mr Carson refused to intervene!
