I just visited Eden Camp WW2 museum near Malton and was interested to find some air filtration equipment uncovered from Leeds public air raid shelters. The pumps looked to be in good condition for their age but they are now stored outside open to the elements.!Will try posting photos + more information(done!)
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!

Photos of the air circulation pumps. The large bicycle operated pump was found in a bunker during renovation of Leeds Central Bus Station in 1995
