Hi all, I would like some information on the Edwardian house, called "The Beeches" at Bradford Road , Stanningley, now is the Little people Nursery, im trying to locate the census records, but cannot seem to find what it would come under, tried Bradford road, and not listed on the census , like Stanningley hall is. i have found a few baptisms on the Calverley site that show people there, in 1908 but not there in 1911 . any help would be greatly appricated. Weenie

The address I have is 66 Bradford Road. There was a change of use application for the nursery in 1988 and it looks like the houses at the back were built in 1987. There is a Beeches on Owlcotes Road as well but that's a different place entirely.Leodis isn't a lot of good but I did find this photo of the Savoy cinema (now demolished and replaced by Savoy Court). The approach road to The Beeches is on the right:

Thankyou , No i dont think its the one at Owlcoates as its on the tithemaps as Beeches in 1890. i think i may have found a candidtate as Neriah Roberts the son of Israel Roberts the Clothier of the area, on his census for 1901 it states bradford road inbetween Westfield where his father is and methodist church. Thanks Weenie
