I think it's Dec 12 1970.

I vaguely recall a fire at a shop owned by Jack Charlton but I also vaguely (likely wrong!) recall that it was on Harehills Lane. I cannot recall the year. I wonder if the shop on the right was an early Anne Summers!

Shop on fire is 283 Roundhay Road. It is now Lota Properties and and is between Rehman Michael, Karim & Co and Digwa & Cousins on one side, and on the other Darvish Persian restaurant (which I would recommend - it was very good in there!)

don't recall it and what did he sell?was paul madely a footballer and didn't he sell paint, or did I dream that?
