Whilst visiting York recently,I spotted a vegetarian deli on Walmgate called"The Hairy Fig". I also pass "Bangers and Baps" cafe opposite First Direct building (formerly Waddingtons) of a morning and night.Anyone know of any other suggestive names in the area that made it past planners?

There can be no more revolting name for eating houses in a well known chain - I don't think I could face a meal in "The slug and lettuce"
There's nothing like keeping the past alive - it makes us relieved to reflect that any bad times have gone, and happy to relive all the joyful and fascinating experiences of our own and other folks' earlier days.

Any more of these, & it'll be getting to be like 'Fat Harry White' who used to be a regular feature on 'The Mark Radcliffe Show' (whilst Marc Lard' Riley was with him)Now, how the heck they got away with some of those on daytime radio...........(but, I guess, if Wogan could have 'Janet & John'???)
