The attached photos of Templar House show the sad state the building is in today but in the fifties it was owned by Hoover.Does anyone know how long they were there and what did they do? was it a manufacturing site

On the reprinted 1906 Ordnance Survey Map of Central Leeds a building apparently on this site is marked "Chapel". The present rather run down building does remind me of some chapels

Yes I would agree that it does appear to have been a Chapel at some time in its life

The Sunday school records for the Chapel exists for the years 1839 - 1927 so I would suggest that is how long it was a Chapel

What is the building to the left of Templar House int he Leodis picture? Looks like another nice stone structure flattened to make way for absolutely nothing. Progrees eh?
Ravioli, ravioli followed by ravioli. I happen to like ravioli.

The Lady Lane Chapel was very old....would have been around in the late 1500s/early 1600s in some form. It was the site of the old old old Grammar School pre-move to the Harrison Building.

This is a photo of part of the front of Templar House that I took on December 16 2010. I thought it may be of interest. The British Road Services (BRS) name has started to break up. I assume BRS were the last occupants of Templar House.
