While mooching around Broadcasting Place a had a look a the bridge over the inner ring road that has been a car park for as long as i can remember. What was it built for. I'm presuming an aborted motorway city road development but where from and to what?http://maps.google.co.uk/maps?f=q&sourc ... 9&t=h&z=18

I posted a reply to this a while ago - its gone awol!Anywho, since then, found the link I wanted -'Heading east along the cut three road bridges and one multi storey car park were constructed. Along with an exit slip. Next to Woodhouse Lane bridge is a bridge which has since been used by The BBC as a car park. This bridge was originally constructed to take a dual carriageway(A660 Upgrade) over the inner ring road and out to the north of the city. This project never seen the light of day and until recently the BBC used it as a car park'. Most intersting this, I actually walked over that bridge/car park the other week to photograph the new broadcasting place, i never gave it a second thought to it been a bridge to nowhere, nice detective work there Chameleon, good story to it. I'm passing there later today, think i'll snap it myself now lol
My flickr pictures are herehttp://www.flickr.com/photos/phill_dvsn/Because lunacy was the influence for an album. It goes without saying that an album about lunacy will breed a lunatics obsessions with an album - The Dark side of the moon!

This is one of the many times leeds council try to plan ahead but their plans dont work out. Bless them for trying though.
