What's the oldest block still standing and occupied? Those on Torre Road must be contenders. Older than Lincoln Green which went up late fifties.

I would guess that the oldest blocks would be contemporary with Quarry Hill. There must be apartment blocks (not necessarily high rise) that date from the 30s.

Seacroft Ring Road? Probably 60's.

I think you might be right, there are photographs of blocks in the Burmantofts area generally which seem to be pre-60's and I remember the area being developed around that time. The Seacroft/Whinmoor blocks arrived early/mid 60's, certainly Seacroft Gate came with the original Seacroft Centre.

The blocks at Holbeck Moor were built in the late 1950s

A quick search on Leodis lists Carlton Close (Little London) and Westerly Croft (Armley) as both being built in 1962.Both Seacroft Gate blocks, Ramshead Heights, Baileys Towers and Brooklands Towers are all in place on a photo taken of Seacroft in March 1963, so clearly pre-date that.Torre Green, Torre Gardens, Oxton gardens, Oxton Place and Oxton Close are all visible on a 1963 aerial shot of York Road, showing the then 'new' Ebor Gardens estate. The Ash Trees, Langbars and Penwells at Swarcliffe (now demolished) were built from 1965.Queensview at Seacroft (formerly attached to the shopping centre) was officially opened on 24th May 1966Lovell Park Towers, Lovell Park Heights and Lovell Park Grange in Little London were all constructed in 1967, while Oatland Heights, Court and Towers were built in 1971.I don't have time to search any further at the moment, but as a guess I'm thinking it could well be somewhere on the East of Leeds as there were a lot of high rise blocks put up there in a relatively short period of time. You've got me hooked now!

Pre-war Quarry Hill was based on east european apartment blocks. The book "Momento Mori" is a great record of their creation and demolition.High Rise flats are different of course and I too wonder which is Leeds oldest. Easy to look up the countries oldest in Harlow built 1951, so oldest in Leeds is after that.I'm still wondering about Leeds oldest back to back.

Lincoln Green was up in 1960 and the Torre Road Appletons were definitely already there by then.
