Just been looking at all the pictures of this site, I was placed there in 1973 until 1977, and had some fabulous times there. It had all the facilites needed for working with young people in care, from its own garage, joiners, electricians workshops to its own farm. The place really worked and the staff were ok, must have cost a fortune to run, but was well worth it. To the extent where I have now developed a charity that work with disadvantaged young people and young people excluded from education, which is very successful and is based on the model and ethos of this old school. I have fond memories of this place and it should be returned back into its former use

I suppose you get one on every forum hi Neal dont take any offence mate it's just this place has some, lets say eventful memories for uses of this site lolThanks to a certain 'fevlad' even the sight of the Name eastmoor school(or as its affectionately known on here 'abandoned village' lol)on the forum home page brings back a certain Déjà vu feeling amongst fellow users lol.I am though impressed that you have actually benefited from the place because everybody who i know who went there as nothing but bad memories of the joint!

Why is it always a can of worms? You open it and all you've got is a can with worms in. Now a opening can full of bees, that'd be a problem

Hi folks. Apologies if this gets anyone's back up, but as an occasional reader, I don't understand what all the fuss is about with this??Did something awful happen here once?So there's an old village that housed tearaways, and now it's derelict, what is it about this that upsets people? Or is there something major I am not understanding here??My mum works for the pupil referral service, and so deals with a lot of bad kids, and will probably have dealt with kids from here at some point, which I suppose fuels my curiosity somewhat.Again, not meaning to offend etc. just don't get it? I've noticed there's been posts removed from people etc. but as I don't get to read the site every day, I never saw them.
