Does anybody know anything about the derelict house on alwoodley Lane?Ive noticed recently that it has been boarded up now though it has been empty for years without boards on and it didnt have its windows badly smashed. The side door to the kitchen used to be unlocked but I never dared to go in. One of the back garage doord used to be open and there were legal papers all over the place.Of course, when I tried to ask the neighbours they told me they would call the police as I should not be there...Usual helpfull lot!

I think they've got a bit of a point, to be brutally frank.
there are 10 types of people in the world. Those that understand ternary, those that don't and those that think this a joke about the binary system.

Well "Frank", there is no need to be so brutal!!Ive not been into the place, I just had a look as many other have too. I also very politely asked them a question as they were outside anyway doing the gardening. There is another thread on here where somebody is stating that they went up a drive to an old house off Nursery Lane, this is all I have done and nobody was so "Brutal" to that person...I was only asking!

I'm sure the house and story behind it was on Calendar a while back, maybe a couple of years ago.I can't for the life of me remember what it was now, perhaps you could contact YTV and ask what the news story was?

Thanks for that... After a bit more digging ive found this...http://www.moortowntoday.co.uk/news/Alw ... 86.jpSeems such a shame to be pulling it down. If you look at the picture I put up, the back window has completely fallen out of the house so I expect there is too much rot in there to make an economic repair on it.

Personally I don't think it's anything special and no loss. And I like it here.
