What is/was the really old building in bramley?

hi guys, I'm new to this site so i'm sorry if i mess up.I aint been there 4 a long time but et the top o leeds n bford foad where the sharp bend are there was a big old building. (not shure if it still stands as it was falling down) it looked lovley does anyone know wat is was or who lived there???thanks guys.xxx

Can you be a bit more precise with the location please, Hunnyvenom? I'm not sure where exactly you mean.

I can't even place a "sharp bend" on LnB road? In fact it's pretty straight, with the only major bend being the pavillion, near the old wagon n horses, but I wouldn't call it sharp and I don't know of any major buildings that you describe??

Are we even sure it is Leeds and Bradford Road.Many people including me in the distant past have made the mistake of thinking that Bradford Road is still Bradford Road when it becomes Town Street at Ricardhaw Lane and Stanningley Road at the point where L'n'B Road does branch off. Its not beyond belief that under that misunderstanding travelling in the reverse direction Stanningley Road and then the bypass might be mistaken as Leeds/Bradford Road.

The building is now renovated. The bad bend is over the Canal then the River Aire. On the far side of the bend is the Bridge pub. - Could this be where you mean?

I was thinking about that but it's not the 'top'.Whoever renovated it did a good job. The house was painted by William Turner on his tour of Yorkshire.
