Does anyone know if the Ebeneezer Chapel in Rodley is in use? Theres lots of signs up at the front but you never see any life there and everything is always barred and closed. Theres even a for sale sign at the side now but I think that is for a house down the road

Hi D2G, I live opposite the chapel and it has been empty for the last few months. The last business in there had something to do with publishing magazines - I think they moved offices to Headlingley. There has been some activity recently with surveyors and other folk looking round but I've not heard owt official. I'm just hoping they are not going to convert it into flats!

Hi, took some pics of the chapel today. The building is actually the United church and the Ebeneezer church is the one that was converted into apartments! Looks empty tho - ill put pix on flickr after ive recovered from my 3hr trek! - Also got some of the old cemetery and afew of the canal and some mills going towards farsley. Found an abandoned barge too!

Hey D2G, would like to see your pics when you get them online. Don't suppose you have any old pictures of the church (or chapel what ever it is called!)? I've tried to do a search on Leodis but to no availI'm a relative newbie to Rodley where is the old cemetery? The only one I've come across is near the junction of Coal Hill Lane and Bagley Lane.Cheers
