Just scant weeks past, I obtained a reprint of the Jacksons guide to Leeds -1889, and I thought it would be interesting to let SecretLeedsers to guess the indentity of places and buildings based upon the descriptions therein.I did manage to post one thread, whose conclusion arrived promptly.Thereafter this publication was loaned out and until now was unavailable for your indulgance and absorbtion to the enquiring minds residing upon the good offices on this forum.The potential for amusement and puzzlement has returned and I now examine the pages within the covers of this small, but august publication, so.........For your delictation and diversion, I offer the informed Secret Leeds reader a Victorian description of a structure, district or location for your perusal and indentification.Be wary, oh unwise ones, for such items may no longer exist, "Overleaf we give an illustration of the well known establishment of XXXXXXXX.These unique premises, which are the largest of their kind in Leeds form one of the most striking and attractive features of this busy thoroughfare"...........................Should this small descriptive part of the whole be less than adequate for the purposes of indentification, then, following a decent allowance for time's passage, further additions will be furnished.
