Sorry the pic isn't great. The centre looks like a rams head and I think the date is 1865

The white glazed brick on the left and the rounded stuff on the right makes me think railway bridge possibly Holbeck area??Please say yes.

Not glazed, and not the railway bridge at Holbeck. And I hope when someone guesses where it is they can tell me What it is, or Why. Because I have no idea

Because I have no idea I dont know where it is - but I would say a couple of things: It looks a bit like a rams-head but isn't - it's just floral bouquets and curlicues. As for why its there - I don't think there's any particular reason - it wasn't uncommon in Victorian times to put things like this on buildings - especially 'fancy' ones - just a bit of 'showing off'!
