Judging by the design, i'd say it was either the Metropole Hotel, or the old Liberal Party Leeds HQ, now The Quebec Hotel, strangely on Quebec Street...

I drive past that every other week on my way back from Elland Road and have decided that it is one of my favourite buildings in Leeds.

It always reminds me of something out of an American 30's gangster film, or from the Warren Beaty version of Dick Tracey.
