Unless it was a trick question, the Yorkshie Rose is well known locally as the first pub on the left side of the A65 outbound from Leeds .My aunt use to own the Station Pub in Guiseley in the 60/70s ,from my visits there (glass washer) I became aware of the Yorkshire Rose/ Commerical claim to fame.Cheers Y

Jogon,             Good point about local knowledge. Being a Burley boy and without my Guiseley connection I would'nt had a clue.Might make a good question on trivia nights in the Cardigan.

A good one to get your 'mind-map' working.Since someone first infected me with this question I have thought the route too many times.A good one to get to sleep with p'raps.I liked chrisms earlier post and until I cycled the route (+beyond) I never knew.
