well it looks like the bailey family as been around for a wile lolFirst found in Northumberland where they were seated from very early times and were granted lands by Duke William of Normandy, their liege Lord, for their distinguished assistance at the Battle of Hastings in 1066 A.D.and the family motto from the coat of arms Translated: One's country is where one is well.

I was told yesterday that my surname (Chadwick) is a Leeds name, anyone know if there is any truth in this??
