Thanx WiggyThat garage on stoney sure look(ed) familiar and if it was still there in the 60s,perhaps I passed it a few times.From 1947 until 1967 I was either in the RAF or living darn sarf(!)so lots changed in Leeds during that period. Was the building taken over by another concern or demolished even?Perhaps we'll nivva knaw!

MICK SG Thanks for all the energy you put into this site. Whereabouts is the derelict building you have posted right at the beginning of this thread? The one with the smashed windows and wonderful colours on the brick and all the graffiti, whats the name of that building...I have attached a copy of the pic you posted..lonegroover

Here is a picture (hopefully) that I took in Leeds in 1986 - ish.I think it was on South Accomodation Road. They were demolishing houses where a friend of mine used to live with his mother who had a fish and chip shop. I am not totally convinced that the location of the 'Nellies' is correct, so if anyone has a memory please let me know and of course why a row of houses were called 'Nellie'

Born in East leeds, then lived in Halton and aged 20 moved to Tyneside
