Remember it well. It used to be the Central Sould Club and reverted to that before becoming, I think Hi Fi club. It was down the stairs and used to stink of damp. My mum told me it used to be a waxworks in the 40s/50's and it smelt then too.For a 16 year old in the early 80's it was great - cheap, watered down beer, no questions about age, let you in in Jeans and trainers, girls who, er liked a good time, a pool table, TVs showing rocky video's , Terry Kernaghan (who became Terry George) as DJ, Guaranteed at least 3 mass brawls a night, bar staff who nicked and drank your beer...I could go on. I thought all clubs were like that!
