Don't know how true this is, but a rumour going around at the minute, and apparently originally told by one of the firemen is as follows;
Longrow Fisheries in Horsforth has been shut over the last few months due to a fire that was statted upstairs. By all accounts, the owner started it after killing his wife up there and chopping her to bits then trying to set the place ablaze in a rather fruitless way to cover the murder.
I go past the place daily and have seen then redoing the upstairs. Seems to be shut a long time for simple fire damage. No smoke without.... pardon the pun
