Trams early employees

Post by Skaife »

Hi everyone - I am interested in the trams which ran in Leeds, particularly around 1900 - 1940 ish. I know there are some old Leeds trams at the museum in Crich. What I wondered is if anyone knows if any of the employment records from that time have survived? If so where would I find them? I am happy to travel to Leeds to do the searching !
Thanks everyone

Try contacting West Yorks Archives.
https://www.wyjs.org.uk/archive-service ... llections/
The trams were run by LCT and the archive serive keep some Corporation records.
It used to be said that the statue of the Black Prince had been placed in City Square , near the station, pointing South to tell all the southerners who've just got off the train to b****r off back down south!
