As far as I know there are photo's like this of the virtually the whole of the UK. Most areas have been subject to aerial surveys at some time. The big question at the moment is what can be freely distributed with regard to copyright.I don't want to upset anyone in case access to them becomes restricted.I'm pretty sure these are part of the collection of one and a quarter million aerial photo's that have been revealed recently.Unfortunately, the copies turning up on the internet at the moment are annoyingly small (like the pictures on Leodis website) with very little detail, but I have (for the moment at least) access to full size copies of some of them.Do you need a photo of a particular area? Thanks for the reply! Yeah, I am looking for aerial views of Sheepscar Interchange before it became the interchange. There is a photo on Leodis but it is not covering the right area...

On a personal note I'd be interested in one of the bit of Horsforth around the Roses and the pub on the corner of Fink Hill and Featherbank Lane. I've seen old maps showing it as a hamlet but I'd like to see what it used to look like before the ring road was built.

I came across this thread a long while ago whilst trying to establish the origins of the Asket name and why Asket gardens and aAsket hill were completely detached from the likes of Asket Drive etc , although I gathered it was all down to development prior to Easterly Road being built and then came across this , Asket Hall and having seen and questioned the 'old bridge' hidden away over wyke beck many moons ago , I did some further reading on here. It then led me on to where the hell did the cycle path become to be known as Arthurs Rein ? With all these questions and then further ones regarding 'The Grange' / Fearnville House or Hall .... I became obsessed ;)
I don't know if any of the original posters are still on this thread but I uncovered a few answers to the latter questions , whether these were answered or not I am unsure but what I finally became aware of via a map dated around 1856 , is that Fearnville House was there at that time , the Grange was located roughly where the Orchard / The Grange pub now stands. A further house where the old peoples home / old doctors surgery now stands and another house known as Fearnville lodge , or Rose something or other stood where the now located shops are on the junction of Dib Lane and Oakwood lane.
As for Arthurs Rein , this has somewhat become slightly relocated since the 1850's as it was a stretch of 'rein' bog type land which was Dib lane side of Wyke Beck but now as is known , the other side and a cyle path named in its history .

The new interest in the Asket Hall thread, reminded me of this sale catalogue for Asket Hill.
this is a folded sheet showing the map of the grounds and the plan of the building.
the catalogue has details of every room with descriptions of the fixtures and fittings.

With fear of going off topic... this is about the best I can find... Would have liked one that show things in as much detail, but covers more of the Meanwood Road area to the left / Leeds Terrace/ Albert Grove.
