I am looking to find an example of a Whitaker Brick, made in Leeds. Some also have Elland Road stamped on them. Can anyone help?

Uncle Mick. Thank you very much for the link. I have some information on the extent of Whitaker brickworks in Leeds and the surrounding are, however, in the link you sent, there are some examples of where people have recently found old bricks: I will try and find one for myself

Armitage are the most common Brick to be found around leeds.

Whittakers are the most common Leeds embossed Brick.

Finding them is very easy indeed - enjoy the hunt, but if desperate let me know....

Just read this on searching for brickyard I used to work there
The chap who asked about getting one
If he hasn’t there are loads in templenewsham walk past house downhill to small ponds and then follow trail over bridge going up towards busling Thorpe road just before the monument there are lots which make the path up many are loose
Another place nearer is the car park back of kip where the demolished building was made of them you may find one on ground towards motorway end
