I thought the pub on the Lingfields(now boarded up) was called the Lingfield! Did it used to be called the Moorcock? There's a pub (still open) called the Moorcock at the Junction of Henconner lane and Pudsey Road on the edge of Bramley.

My apologies if this one has been covered but 20 pages takes a lot of searching.Many years ago I had a drink in the Red Lion on Hunslet Rd.(Thwaite Gate) not far up the road,towards Leeds,was another pub,The Crooked Billet.I haven't been passed for years,is it still there??

I remember that pub too stevief - but no, its not there anymore - got pulled down about 20+ years ago. - the red Lion I mean. if you mean the crooked Billet, as Rangieowner said, its still there! (and just to confuse things further the Red Lion was nearer to Leeds than the crooked billet!!!)
